Maija Westerholm is a performing artist (MA), specializing in clowning and puppetry. She has worked in several theaters and working groups as a performer, puppeteer and director in Finland and abroad.

Westerholm has extensive experience as an art instructor. Her areas of expertise include theater, musical playschool, crafts, and visual arts. She has worked especially with babies, children and families.

In art, Westerholm is inspired by surreal and absurd perspectives. Playfulness and the audience's experience are important to her. The audience can for example get their hands on the performance's materials or influence the storyline.
